Meme realizes 7 projects in 3 months

KUMBA—Out of 119 projects allocated for Meme division for this year, seven projects have been completed while 3 are on going, it emerged Friday, April 16, at the Kumba city council hall.

The 2010 divisional budget stands at CFA 1.575.118.000 for 119 projects. A large fraction, a total of 114 projects are to be awarded in Meme division, two to be awarded at the level of Yaounde and three at the level of the regional capital Buea.

So far financial execution for this 2010 in Meme division stands at 0.009% and physical execution 0.01 %.
The divisional delegate of economy, planning and regional development Leo Ako announced the progress during the 1st participatory fellow-up meeting of the public investment budget for Meme division.

Before presenting the division’s public investment budget, Mr Ako lectured participants, made up of divisional delegates, chiefs and members of the civil society on the role they have to play to see that projects were realized in their various localities.

The meme MINEPAT boss reminded the participants that they had the right to report to the head of the fellow-up committee, the delegates, DO, SDO etc any project that was not well carried out.

Speaking at the meeting, the 1st Assistant SDO for Meme, Cletus Asongwe, called on all those concerned with the execution of projects to put their hands on deck so that a 100% execution is realized by the end of 2010.
