The Cameroonian football federation (FACAFOOT) on Tuesday named former national team striker and 1980 African Footballer of the Year Jean Manga-Onguene as National Technical Director.He will be responsible for the development, implementation and adaptation of technical policies in order to optimise the performance and competitiveness of Cameroonian football from the grassroots level to the elite, according to FECAFOOT's official website. Jean Paul Akono, Olympic champion in 2000, and Stephen and Robert Sockeng Athanasius will assist him in his task.. The four men will sign four-year contracts on Saturday. New national team manager Javier Clemente is expected to arrive in Yaounde on Friday to begin his new job.
