Rev. Angela Acha-Morfaw, the Pentecostal preacher who became famous for her end of year blessing crusades, was at the weekend consecrated bishop. Acha- Morfaw’s consecration and enthronement followed her election in 2008 by a college of over 5000 bishops of the Pentecostal movement from all over the world. Thousands of followers attended the ceremony at her Abundant Life Faith Centre International (ALFCI). Guest included preachers form the USA, Europe and other African countries. Speaking at press briefing prior to the event, Bishop Raymond Chris, said the consecration of bishops in the Pentecostal movement was as a result of the need for order in the accomplishment of God’s mission. This he said was to avoid situations where some ‘pastors’ mislead Christians on grounds of being guide by Holy Spirit. With the new dispensation of hierarchy in the church, there is room for verification such that God’s work is done in an orderly manner.
