Cameroon name 22-man squad for training

YAOUNDE—Alexandre Song has again been left from the Lions’ squad as the team regroups for an international training session from Nov., 14 to 17 in France.

Modeste Mbami makes a comeback to the team but Idriss Kameni and Achille Emana, who were all part of the World Cup team, have also again been left out.

Captain Samuel Eto’o would not be part of the training. In great form at the moment, he is being rested to give room for the trial of new talents, says assistant manager Omam Biyik.

The 22 man squad includes:

Goalkeepers: Charles Itandje (Liverpool, England), Guy Roland Ndy Assembe (Nantes, France),

Defenders : Benoit Angbwa (FC Saturn, Russia), Nicolas Nkoulou (AS Monaco, France), Dany Nounkeu (Gaziantepspor, Turkey), Gaëtan Bong (Valenciennes, France),Clovis Guy Adiaba Bondoa (Sparta Prague, Czech Republic), George Elokobi (Wolverhampton Wanderers, England), Eric Matoukou (KRC Genk, Belgium), Sadjo Haman (Honved Budapest, Hungary).

Midfielders: Alexis Enam Mendomo (Club Africain, Tunisia), Eyong Enoh (Ajax Amsterdam, Holland), Modeste Mbami (Almeria, Spain), Landry Nguemo (Nancy, France), Georges Mandjeck (Stade Rennais, France), Guy-Stéphane Essame (FC Terek Grozny, Russia),Somen A Tchoyi (West Bromwich Albion, England).
