Cameroon bank deposits fell to 1.96 trillion CFA francs ($4.3 billion) as of June 30, from 1.99 trillion the year earlier, the Ministry of Finance said yesterday, citing the Bank of Central African States.

Total lending by banks in the Central African country rose to 1.3 trillion CFA francs from 1.11 trillion over the same period, the ministry said. Bank lending to the state slid to 108 billion CFA francs from 115 billion.
